Day Trips to New York - Deadline Extended
Seats are still available for the upcoming day trips from St. Louis to New York City in December. Travel from St. Louis to New York City in style with friends and family. Take a day trip to see the sights, see a Broadway show, visit a museum, finish holiday shopping, or simply take in the holiday atmosphere in the city.
Two different day trips are available - Wednesday, December 11, 2013 and Saturday, December 14, 2013. Tickets are $65 per person and the extended deadline for registration is Monday, November 25, 2013.
Itinerary for each day
6:30am – Meet in St. Louis Parking Lot
6:45am – Depart St. Louis for New York City
10:30am (Approximately) – Arrive New York City
bus drops off at 46th St. near Broadway
Day in New York on your own
6:30pm – Depart New York City – pick up is the same location as drop off
10:30pm (Approximately) – Return to St. Louis

Concerto Competition 2013-2014
The St. Louis Church Concert Series is pleased
to announce the 2013-2014 Concerto Competition. The competition will provide an
opportunity for a high school student to perform a concerto with orchestra at
the St. Louis Church Concert Series Spring Concert on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at
4:00pm.
The 2013-2014 competition is open to high school
musicians (grades 9-12) enrolled during the current academic year. Performers
of piano, strings, woodwind, brass, or percussion instruments may apply. In
order to apply, students should submit a high quality recording of their
concerto with accompaniment. The performance should be a complete and unedited
version of the piece.
All materials must be postmarked by Monday, December 9, 2013. Finalists will be notified no later than
January 1, 2014 and invited to perform in the final round of competition on
Sunday, February 9, 2014. The winner will prepare his or her solo with
orchestra at the dress rehearsals on Friday evening, April 25, 2014 and
Saturday morning, April 26, 2014. In addition, the first place winner will
receive a $250 prize.
